LEED and Green Building
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has created a rating system called Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) to promote environmental sustainability practices for buildings. The LEED program is based on a point system and awards buildings at Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels.
Our program reduces operating expenses while creating a healthier workplace. The principal of Cynthia Ruby and Associates, Inc. is accredited to offer third party audits that result in LEED certification. In addition to the accreditation, our clients get an investment quality building survey and an Energy Star Rating.
We start with an initial courtesy consultation covering the status of the building or site, reviewing current programs and discussing potential projects. Once under contract, we meet with the client to identify specific objectives for the project.
With objectives in hand, we create a budget, program and schedule. Once these items are approved, we oversee implementation of the necessary improvements.
Once the improvements are fully established, we document client savings over time and submit the results to the USGBC to support the certification request.
